Novo Nord Darou is exclusive representative of Novozymes in Iran. Novozymes is one the biggest enzyme producers in the world. Enzymes are proteins with highly specialized functions, produced by all living organisms. Enzymes are essential for all metabolic processes, but are not alive. Enzymes play a diversified role in everyday life. Enzymes are applied in various fields, food manufacturing, animal nutrition, medication, leather industry,waste water treatment, Bio-fuel and as tools for research and development, too. At present, almost 4000 enzymes are known, and of these, approximately 200 microbial original types are used commercially.

Pharmaceutical Products

Novo Nord Darou is one of the first private pharmaceutical companies in Iran licensed and registered in the ministry of health. We have been active in the fields of Diabetic Care, Haemostasis Management, Growth Hormone Therapy, treatment of disorders in the central nervous system (CNS), including Depression, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease. Today, Novo Nord Darou is representative of Lundbeck pharmaceutical products in Iran. In the many years of our activity, we have registered more than 10 pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products in Iranian pharmacopeia, the most well known are recombinant factor seven( NovoSeven®), memantine (Ebixa®).
